When you look at its ornate exterior it is easy to see that they don’t build buildings like the one to be redeveloped on West 25th Street any more.
Details remain on the 19th century structure that would be far too costly to create today. On the inside remnants of the properties industrial past will remain, too. But a lot will change.
There are beams to be hoisted into place, concrete to be broken up, new concrete to be poured, cinderblock to be laid, and metal to be cut.
